Who wants a nap after church today? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Join us today in the upper room at Home Roots CrossFit for a #yogafaith Nidra practice. It’s a great practice designed to rest into the presence of God in a powerful way. Nidra requires no movement, every body can do it and you can’t get it “wrong.” If you need more peace, rest and connection today, we’ve created a space for you. Bring your mat, pillow, blanket or anything else that will make you comfortable and I will see you at 2:30!

How can the life of Jesus inform our rhythms of work and rest? What have you noticed about your own rhythm of work and rest? What needs to stay the same and what needs to change? Let’s create space together tomorrow. We will explore these questions and more as we take a look at Scripture, spend time in prayer, and even look over our schedules to see what is and isn’t life giving. 9-11am. Aren’t they magnificent? I have these sunflowers 🌻 that started as seeds that have grown to 12 feet high standing in my back yard. Proof. Proof that things that start small and grow with time. That something must die first before it breaks through darkness to new life. That God is in the business of ordering chaos (shot out Fibonacci sequence @jenniferohrvall @nicolemariehowe ). That God has to be happy cause there’s no way he could have packed all the beauty of a ginormous sunflower into tiny little seeds without being a little giddy over what it will become. Proof that being mindful of the season, cultivating the soil, patience, allowing both the sun and the rain do its work over time, all matters to the success of this little flower. This little flower, simply made for my enjoyment. One little seed. We are just one little seed. Reserve your spot today for Saturday’s workshop. It will be a great place to pause before entering into fall. A place where the space is held for you to do the work set in front of you. I’ll simply hold the space and guide the time. This is that break from the chaos called August! Call the sitter, thank the teachers, kiss the hubby goodbye and join me tomorrow for our first official YogaFaith Gentle Flow class!! (It’s no secret I love Jesus, so really any class you take from me is birthed from this perspective, but) Yoga Faith classes have one focus: Jesus. We pray at the beginning, listen to Jesus music in the middle, and rest in His Word at the end. The yoga is simply a tool to help us worship. All levels are welcome-because every body is designed to praise! First class is free! Just wanted to let you know of a number of opportunities this week for you to create time and space to cultivate your spiritual practices and spend time with God. Fall can be quite the busy season which is all the more reason to carve out time to be with Him. This month, the Creating Space Workshop is about exploring our rhythms of work and rest. Jesus has a lot to say about the way we are to spend our time, and I will give you a hint, it includes both work and rest. If you want to be intentional with your time this fall, join me as we spend time exploring God’s Word and working through some great questions that will help create healthy rhythms this fall. Cost is $25 and workshop runs from 9-11. If you are interested in reserving your spot and location details, DM me. Everything else this week, just drop by Home Roots!
